Today, because of The Augie Fund, any Bay Area child who needs glasses can get them — easily and without financial strain. We need your support to keep the fund strong and to help more kids and their families.
The Augie Fund was started by a Bay Area family, the Wintroub-Hansens, in 2012. Inspired by one of the youngest members of the family, Augie, who at two years old was diagnosed with an eye movement disorder, the Wintroub-Hansens joined together with That Man May See to provide glasses for young children of low-income families in the Bay Area with ZERO red tape.
Today, because of The Augie Fund, any child at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, San Francisco General Hospital or Oakland Children’s Hospital who needs glasses or lenses can get them without cost. We need your support to keep the fund strong and to help more kids and their families.
Frames and lenses cost around $250, and specialized glasses are at least $500. Your contribution helps a child to see, learn and smile. Thank you for supporting The Augie Fund, and helping children in the Bay Area and beyond!
